Meridian has introduced a new controller for its loudspeakers, which it says provides a simple and intuitive way to integrate with TVs.
The company will be displaying this new controller, along with several of its loudspeaker products while at CEDIA Expo 2025 in September. While at the show, the Cambridge, U.K.-based manufacturer has stated it will will also reveal the 2025 editions of its Reference DSP730 and DSP750 in-wall loudspeakers.
“CEDIA is always an important platform for us to connect with integrators and our North American partners. This year, we’re pleased to introduce the UHD121 HDMI Controller and the all-new 2025 editions of our Reference DSP730 and DSP750 in-wall loudspeakers. Visitors will be able to see the new products up close and speak directly with me and our long-standing partners at Apex Technologies, who together provide dedicated support for the region,” says Jeremy Brown, international sales Manager, Meridian Audio.
UHD121 HDMI Controller Details
The controller will work via eARC- or ARC-enabled HDMI ports. The device is HDMI-CEC enabled, allowing users to control both their TV and Meridian system directly from the TV remote for unified operation.
The controller will also support both star-wired and daisy-chain configurations via Meridian SpeakerLink, the UHD121 offers flexibility in installation, while an additional HDMI port is included to help maintain system adaptability.
Reference DSP730 and DSP750 In-Wall Speakers
According to Meridian, both models incorporate Meridian’s proprietary Image Elevation technology, aimed at creating natural listening experiences in installations with LED screens or large-format fixed displays where speakers cannot be placed behind the screen. By leveraging psychoacoustic research, this technology ensures vocals and key sound elements appear to originate directly from the display, regardless of speaker placement.
The DSP750 features enhanced driver technology, advanced DSP, revised acoustic engineering, and innovations developed through Meridian’s Extreme Engineering Program, with the DSP750 being designed to deliver higher output, lower distortion, and improved imaging precision.
Meridian explains the DSP750 brings flagship-level technologies from the DSP8000 XE into a streamlined architectural format, which the company says positions the speaker as its highest-performing architectural models to date.
