Destination Outdoors is making its return to CEDIA Expo with the tradeshow having officially announced participating partners in the exhibit’s 2025 outing.
This year, Coastal Source, Lutron, Draper at Home and Access Networks are teaming up to create a sprawling, 24,000-square-foot outdoor experience—positioned just outside the Colorado Convention Center—where attendees can engage with these outdoor systems in a more ideal environment.
Outdoor installations continue to be a booming category for integrators, with this year’s CE Pro research into the category unveiling that the average size of an outdoor project rose roughly 22% in 2024 from the prior year.
While features like audio and lighting remain staple demands in these types of installations, CE Pro also found that networking has become just as important as clients seek to expand the functionality of their smart home systems into these second living spaces.
Brands and Products in the Spotlight
Coastal Source will be demonstrating its 1000 Series Bollards as well as the Razor line, a slim outdoor wall and hardscape speaker engineered for Hi-Fi quality audio outdoors. The company will also have its EVO lighting line on hand while teasing a new control partnership to be revealed at the show.
Lutron, meanwhile, will have its control platform on display, while Draper at Home will be introducing three new shading solutions designed for outdoor use: the Power-free FlexShade ZIP models (ZIP 127 and ZIP XL) with solar panel power and the Bond Weather Station, which adjusts shades based on weather conditions.
Access Networks, meanwhile, will provide the networking hardware that will make connectivity possible in the space, leveraging its latest Wi-Fi 7 access points and cloud-based ARCC controllers.
“This will be our second year as a Destination Outdoors sponsor and we are excited to be participating again,” noted Jon Peckman, Director of Sales at Access Networks.
