CEDIA Opens New Web-Portal for Online Learning and Education

CEDIA's new educational platform provides content to meet every skill level that was developed using the organization's years of market experience.

CEDIA, the Association for Smart Home Professionals, has launched CEDIA Online Learning, a new Learning Management System (LMS) designed to provide online education for the smart home technology industry.

According to the trade organization, this state-of-the-art platform introduces a host of features to engage learners, streamline management, and provide actionable insights to deliver CEDIA’s educational content across a variety of topics for learners of all skill levels.

CEDIA Promises to Add More Community-Shaped Content to Online Learning Platform

Through CEDIA Online Learning members can purchase, assign, and evaluate training progress directly within the platform allowing members to better manage employee training. The platform also offers various delivery methods to cater to different learning styles. Learners can engage with content online, with an instructor, or through on-the-job training, which CEDIA hopes will help make education more accessible and flexible.

The platform also offers real-time progress tracking and data analysis to allow members to identify areas for improvement and ensure higher completion rates. Learners can quickly get their questions answered by subject matter experts (SMEs) and instructors. Additionally, users can explore answers in the Knowledge Base, ensuring they have the support needed to succeed.

Gamification elements come baked into the platform as well, with assets like digital badges, leaderboards, and reward. Users can then showcase certifications and credentials to others on their team or across the platform.

The trade association also promises annual community reports will that will leverage these insights to shape future educational content to align training opportunities with the evolving needs of the industry.

Most recently the association added in the Residential Networking Specialist (RNS) certification, to its educational program, which is now live through the web portal following a thorough review by CEDIA volunteer experts. Additionally, new business courses will be available before the new year, along with new courses on leveraging CEDIA membership for business growth.
