SoundTube Entertainment has recently unveiled its latest audio innovation in the form of the the XT850-LED, a 2-way outdoor loudspeaker system. Combining LED landscape lighting with the company’s signature audio technology, the combination lighting/speaker fixture creates a harmonious blend of high-quality sound and aesthetic lighting for outdoor environments.
“The XT850-LED speaker system represents a significant step in SoundTube’s commitment to delivering durable and flexible audio solutions,” says Shannon Humphrey, president of MSE Audio. “With its exceptional sound quality and integrated LED lighting, the XT850-LED offers a convenient upgrade to many outdoor commercial projects.”
The XT850-LED Creates a Moody Atmosphere Through Light and Sound
According to SoundTube, the XT850-LED provides full-range background and foreground music capabilities, while also offering paging functionalities. Its sealed, in-ground enclosure design delivers an impressive low-end response and optimal off-axis performance.
The speaker system also comes equipped with theft-resistant mounting hardware and a weatherproof 5-position tap switch for 25/70.7/100V applications, with a transformer bypass position. An IP55 rating further underscores its resilience in outdoor settings.
The speakers are also UV-, scratch-, chlorine-, and weather-resistant.
The lighting, meanwhile, runs at a warm 3000K, warm white color temperature–ideal for nighttime environments–and are fully compatible with third-party dimmers. The XT850-LED can also be powered by a conventional 12V landscape lighting transformer (which SoundTube notes is not included), and multiple XT850-LED units can be run off a single transformer depending on its power capacity.
