Bob Archer’s Standout Products from the CEDIA Expo Show Floor

New products from Trinnov, Screen Innovations, Bluesound, Epson, and TPI represent the latest home AV trends and growth potential.
Published: September 12, 2025

Kicking off the fall in fine style, the CEDIA Expo 2025 show in Denver just concluded, and one of the best parts of every CEDIA Expo show is the promise of seeing new products. Like past shows, the CEDIA Expo 2025 gave us plenty of noteworthy products that dealers can looking forward to using either now or not too far from now.

Probably the most notable part of the show at least from a products perspective is that unlike some years, and this goes back 10 to 15 years, the show did not offer transformative products like the flat-panel televisions back in the early 2000s or Dolby Atmos, which was introduced to the residential market in 2014. The show did provide lots of evolutionary products, however.

Focusing specifically on the AV side of the smart home industry, here are five new products that stood out during the annual trade event.

Standout Products I Found at CEDIA Expo 2025

Trinnov Audio Altitude CI Processor

The high-performance French manufacturer featured its new Altitude CI Processor during CEDIA Expo 2025. Trinnov explains that its latest hardware solution is a fully networked, Audio-over-IP (AoIP) processor that can be used for applications such as luxury home theaters and DCI-grade private cinemas. The processor incorporates amenities like AES67 and Dante digital audio. Trinnov also notes that processor offers its proprietary calibration technologies Optimizer, WaveForming and Remapping.

Additionally, the 2RU unit also provides eight analog inputs and a trio of independently configurable Ethernet ports.

TPI Aerospace Audio Systems

In the Apex Technologies booth at CEDIA Expo 2025, the company was discussing TPI Aerospace with attendees. Supporting the growing MicroLED display category, the U.K.-based manufacturer offers its Movement system. According to TPI Aerospace, the Movement system employs loudspeaker arrays above and below the screen and TPI processing technologies to create a tonally accurate soundstage in front of the screen.

The system includes a range of products such as three front LCR elements, as well as the Movement S, the Movement M, and the Movement L products. Additionally, the company has its Movement Sub, and TPI DVC Movement Controller.

Screen Innovations Black Diamond Fusion

It’s not hyperbole to say Ryan Gustafson and the team at Screen Innovations shook up the home video market a couple of decades ago when the company introduced the original Black Diamond ambient light rejecting (ALR) screen material. This product came during a time when solid-state projection was in its infancy and needed some help to maintain image quality in rooms containing ambient light. Fast forward to CEDIA Expo 2025 and Gustafson is back at it with Black Diamond Fusion. Addressing the shortcomings of the original ALR screen material, Black Diamond Fusion rejects as much as 85% of ambient light, and it provides a wider viewing cone, while reducing screen sparkle to make the product more homeowner friendly.

SI supports the Black Diamond Fusion by offering several screen sizes and frame options.

Bluesound POWERNODE Amplifier

Offering dealers and homeowners a versatile amplifier solution for whole-house audio and home theater applications, the company highlighted its latest POWERNODE Amplifier at CEDIA Expo 2025.

The new amplifier is rated to produce 100 watts x 2- or 80-watts x 3 to power LCR or three-channel soundbars, and it incorporates HDMI with eARC and BluOS. The Dirac-ready amplifier also provides Bluetooth, USB-C audio inputs, and a dedicated headphone amplifier with THX AAA.

With the BluOS platform, homeowners can stream services such as TIDAL, Qobuz, Amazon Music and Deezer at quality levels up to 24-bit/192kHz, and the company emphasizes the amp can be used to power other speakers when combined with Bluesound Cinema and Cinema Mini soundbars.

Epson Pro Cinema LS9000

At CEDIA Expo 2025 attendees didn’t have to walk any great distance on the show floor to find some flagship AV component. Admittedly, those flagship products are the alluring solutions that drives interest in home AV, but unfortunately, not everyone can afford these products. Offering homeowners a more affordable alternative, Epson’s new Pro Cinema LS9000 provides users with a reasonably priced 4K projector that produces 8.29 million pixels, as well as compatibility with HDR10+ content.

The LS9000 projector is rated to produce up to 2,200 lumens of brightness, and it incorporates the company’s ZX Picture Processor. Additionally, the projector supports gaming activities with 4K at 120Hz capabilities.
