GT4000UHD UST Projector from Optoma Delivers Big-Screen Action in Small Spaces

Optoma, has introduced its new GT4000UHD, a compact 4K UHD laser ultra-short throw (UST projector for gaming and home entertainment viewing experiences.

Joining the company’s diverse line of projection solutions, the GT4000UHD projector delivers high brightness at 4,000 lumens, and Optoma asserts that its latest product also offers homeowners reliable long-term usage, and installation flexibility for a variety of home viewing occasions.

“With consumers seeking flexible projection solutions for a variety of home usage scenarios, we’ve introduced our latest ultra short throw alternative with the GT4000UHD, delivering incredible brightness and true-to-life color in a new compact design,” says Billy Harrison, product manager at Optoma. “A suite of convenient installation features makes the GT4000UHD an ideal projector for any space and takes the big screen experience to new levels for competitive gaming, home entertainment, or home offices.”

Optoma GT4000UHD Complements a Range of Home Interiors to Support Big-Screen Entertainment

The GT4000UHD is said to provide superior color performance and a 500,000:1 contrast ratio to offer users images with smooth motion and color accuracy. For smaller spaces, the GT4000UHD displays up to 100-inch images from less than 12-inches away, and in larger home spaces, the UST projector can produce images as big as 120 inches.

Optoma states that the new GT4000UHD delivers up to 4,000 lumens of brightness so sports fans can enjoy live action in rooms within bright lighting environments. Suitable for console to PC gaming, the projector is specified to produce an ultra-low input lag that is four times lower than the competing display technology with 8ms at 120Hz 1080p, 4.3ms at 240Hz 1080p, and 16.9ms at 60Hz 4K60, giving gamers smooth and responsive gaming sessions.

Other features the GT4000UHD offers includes Optoma’s DuraCore laser technology, which the company contends can extend the life of the new UST projector by up to six times compared to an equivalent lamp projector. The laser-based product is also said to offer a lifetime of reliability with up to 30,000 hours of operation in Eco mode.

In addition, some of the dealer friendly options the projector includes, the GT4000UHD is equipped with four-corner correction and 360-degree and portrait mode for flexible placement options within home spaces.
