The French audio company StormAudio has announced several new products, headlined by the ISP MK2 processor, as well as its modular platform, and five-year warranty coverage.
StormAudio says its modular platform, which products like the ISP MK2 now employ, provide greater processing power, higher channel counts, equalization and calibration features. The products also provide audio-over-IP capabilities with a new optional module that offers the AES67 / Ravenna protocol on 32 inputs and 32 outputs.
More specifically, the ISP MK2 provides Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, Auro-3D and IMAX Enhanced. The company emphasizes the processor delivers 32 channels of post-processing, along with a Dirac Live Bass Control module for multiple subwoofers, and the company’s StormAudio Expert Bass Management.
The Room-Ready product, will also address HDMI 2.1 through its partnership with Cypress Technologies through the release of a fully compatible HDMI 2.1 modular card that also features HDCP 2.3.
Other features built into the new home theater processors include StormAudio’s StormXT format. This upmixing algorithm extracts audio signals from nearby speakers and redirects those signals to silent speakers to help create a more immersive audio experience with a range of content.
Additionally, through the company’s Channel remapping option, integrators can configure the ISP MK2 to maximize the audio experience of home theater regardless of the audio codec, seating locations or speaker placement.
