WiiM is expanding its support network for the custom integration (CI) channel with the appointments of six new independent manufacturer rep firms, all aimed at providing greater access to product knowledge, training and dedicated local sales support.

The New Rep Firms Supporting WiiM

The newly appointed representatives and the regions they support include:

  • ByDesign Vision and Sound Marketing – Southern California, Southern Nevada, Arizona & Hawaii
  • Frontline – Minnesota and the Dakotas
  • Elite 3 Pro – TOLA (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas)
  • Access Reps – Upstate New York, New England
  • NY Marketing Team – New York Metro Area
  • Progressive CI – Pacific Northwest, Northern California & Nevada, Rockies, Southwest, MINK, IL / WI, Michigan, Indiana & Kentucky, Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Mid Atlantic, Southeast and Florida

“We’re proud to represent WiiM and help grow their footprint in the CI channel,” commented Mike Sajecki, VP of Progressive CI.

“Their combination of performance, flexibility, and dealer margin makes this a compelling opportunity for integrators. We’re ready to bring energy, focus, and scale to building the brand in the territories we cover.”

Integrator Takeaways

The coverage being provided by WiiM’s new set of rep firms covers much of the continental United States (U.S.) as well as Hawaii. At a minimum, these new appointments address some of the biggest established and emerging markets for the CI channel based on data gathered from CE Pro’s 2025 Wage & Salary Study with the push, according to WiiM, coming as demand for connected audio systems continues to grow across the U.S.

Per the company: “WiiM’s ecosystem of streamers, amplifiers, and smart audio products continues to gain traction with integrators looking for flexible, software-driven solutions that support multi-room and home theater projects with seamless control integration and unmatched sound quality.”

WiiM’s Expanding Ecosystem

Initially garnering acclaim with its debut streaming amplifier, WiiM has since grown out its ecosystem of connected audio products, gaining traction among integrators due to its compact, software-driven solutions that support multiroom and home theater audio installations.

The company broke away from streamers and amps most recently with the launch of a wireless speaker and subsequent follow-up in a pared down version designed for filling out multiroom systems.

This move has drawn comparisons to Sonos by news outlets; however, whether WiiM’s expansion has begun to eat into Sonos’s market share, especially among custom integrators, remains to be seen. Still, the decision to expand its rep network does imply a level of growth warranting attention.

The Current State of Wireless in Home Audio

Within the custom integration space, wireless has served as the most flexible means of distributing audio throughout the home, even if the quality might not compare to a hardwired connection. Over time, that caveat has not seemed to bother most homeowners, a phenomena rival streamer producer Bluesound has explored themselves at certain launch events.

In the case of younger generations, this difference in preferences has become even more apparent as experts within the industry have pointed out that for many generations, the compressed MP3 format most commonly used by streaming services, is the quality they are the most familiar with and therefore prefer to listen to the most.

Resurgence of Media Rooms

This familiarity has collided with public interest in home theater and general multipurpose media rooms in recent times, as the category has seen a resurgence as of late, following a moderate decline post-pandemic. Among consumers, searches for professional home theater installation surged 562% in 2024 on the website Yelp. Within the custom integration space, the number of professionally installed theaters and media rooms being completed have risen 60% year-over-year, as per CE Pro’s most recent Home Entertainment Deep Dive.

Audio Budgets Increasingly Going into Support

In that same Deep Dive, CE Pro noted shifting priorities among integrators with aesthetics, price and core features being of middling importance when it came to selecting products for a home theater. Instead, integrators resoundingly stated that manufacturer support for the products was among the top concerns when selecting what to install for a client. On the client side, however, ease of use came out on top for what the average homeowner is looking in an audio product.

In Summary

The appointment of new manufacturer rep firms by WiiM comes as the home audio space has experienced a bit of a renaissance, with younger generational preferences for the simplicity and flexibility of streaming audio in part driving the popularity for wireless solutions within installations, though the retrofit-friendly nature of wireless serves as a boon to integrators as well.

Still, perhaps due to post-COVID supply sensitivities, integrators report an increasing importance being placed on manufacturer support, with many admitting that a premium is willing to be paid for products that offer differentiated lifecycle support for the channel, highlighting that while audio quality and performance is certainly a primary determining factor of what gets on products, it’s not the sole marker of a solid product for integrators.
