4 Video Courses to Check Out at CEDIA Expo 2022

The CEDIA Expo 2022 event is set to provide a choice of HDMI, system design, AV over IP and manufacturer training courses.

Home theater technology remains a popular category in the industry following the pandemic. Through the maturing of 8K, 4K, and HDR technologies, as well as ever-improving LED, LCD, laser, mini-LED, and micro-LED technologies, the performance of TVs and projectors are rapidly improving to help fuel the public’s hunger for video. 

Helping integrators to navigate the current home theater market, the CEDIA Expo 2022 slate of training seminars offer attendees a range of video-related educational opportunities. 

Those learning opportunities include topics such as AV over IP, HDMI 2.1, best practices for system design, and of course a full slate of manufacturer sessions.

Description: As part of the CEDIA Ask the Experts Series, this session will allow attendees to connect with and ask questions of industry veterans that can help them learn and solve problems related to real-world applications of video display performance and signal distribution. Description: This course takes a distilled look into the features and capabilities of the latest HDMI specification: version 2.1a. More specifically, what’s changed from HDMI over the last several years? Topics include: eARC; Fixed Rate Link; 8K & enhancements to HDR video; a bunch of three-letter acronyms including VRR, QMS, and QFT, and their benefits to gaming and other media; embedded compression; new passive and active cables; what’s mandatory vs optional; and some insight into the CEDIA/CTA-RP28 recommended practice.
