URC has announced a series of updates to its Total Control automation platform, introducing enhanced integrations for BluOS, Denon HEOS, and WiiM as part of what the company is calling a week of music innovation. The coordinated rollout is designed to strengthen URC’s position in whole-home audio control by offering broader platform compatibility, faster operation, and a more unified interface across mixed-brand systems.
URC emphasizes that all three modules share a consistent design approach, supporting two-way communication and predictable behavior inside scenes, macros, and voice events. The company says this structure allows integrators to reduce installation time and deliver a more seamless experience across rooms, zones, and diverse audio products.
BluOS Integration
The updated BluOS module focuses on improving high-resolution audio performance and overall navigation inside Total Control. The integration now supports enhanced search handling, playlist control, metadata feedback, and multi-zone routing. URC notes that users can link BluOS playback to lighting, climate, or entertainment scenes, enabling one-touch shifts to listening modes across the home.
WiiM Integration
Designed for systems that mix premium and value-oriented components, the new WiiM module provides two-way status updates, streaming metadata, and discrete command support for macro creation. URC says this allows integrators to automate playback, presets, and room-start routines while maintaining the same control logic used across higher-end platforms.
HEOS Integration
For Denon’s HEOS, URC has added deeper support for native controls, including presets, queues, browsing history, and multi-room grouping. The updated integration aims to make switching rooms and navigating services more efficient across URC touchscreens, remotes, and in-wall interfaces. According to the company, the improvements are designed to support both residential projects and commercial installations requiring dependable multi-zone control.
Unified Audio Architecture
With the three platforms updated simultaneously, URC is highlighting a unified experience across Total Control. The integrations offer consistent interface design, responsive transport controls, robust metadata handling, and full scene and voice compatibility. Other enhancements include faster access to content, an improved playlist experience, simplified device consolidation under one system, and hands-free control through URC’s voice capabilities.
URC also calls out dealer-centric features such as streamlined workflow, simplified programming once modules are added, and secure remote access for troubleshooting or system adjustments when authorized by the end user.
The company describes the release as reinforcing Total Control’s role as a flexible automation ecosystem capable of supporting high-resolution audio, mainstream streaming platforms, and compact network players with a cohesive control strategy.
