SnapAV has announced that former Autonomic CEO and founder Michael de Nigris will assume the new role as Vice President, Audio Products. This transition comes as a result of SnapAV’s acquisition of Autonomic in December 2016, and reinforces the company’s investment to provide an improved audio experience to integrators.
“Michael’s dedication to simplifying and distributing high quality streaming audio throughout the home, aligns perfectly with our goals as a company,” says G. Paul Hess, SnapAV's chief product officer.
de Nigris, who co-founded Autonomic in 2006, brings the necessary leadership and experience to take SnapAV’s audio product offerings, which now include Autonomic, Episode speakers, amplifiers and outdoor audio, into the future.
Autonomic makes whole-house audio solutions including the Mirage brand of streaming players and multiroom amplifiers, along with apps for control and streaming media. The company is perhaps best known for its rich integration capabilities with most of the leading home automation systems. The servers integrate natively with Crestron, and Autonomic powers Savant’s multiroom audio system.
Continued Hess, “By focusing on the consumer experience, broadening control system compatibility and strategically expanding an installation-friendly product line, we can truly disrupt the marketplace.”
de Nigris has established vital strategic relationships with the most popular streaming service providers and control system platforms, enabling Charlotte, N.C.-based SnapAV to offer an end-to-end multi-room audio solution with the key features and connectivity that consumers demand.
“Integrators can expect a better lineup of audio products with all of the critical sales tools and support infrastructure that has made SnapAV their #1 resource for reliable, profitable solutions,” said Hess.
“We’re combining the very best of Autonomic, Episode and OvrC – all supported by the SnapAV brand.”
