Screen Innovations (SI) has announced its new Black Diamond Fusion ALR (Ambient Light Rejection) projector screen is now available. The SI Black Diamond Fusion ALR made its debut at CEDIA Expo 2024 in Denver, Colo., and leading up to the recently completed InfoComm 2025 show in Orlando, the Texas-based company announced that it would make the screen material available in the commercial market.

Black Diamond Fusion ALR Ups Performance Ante
Leveraging Ambient Light Rejection (ALR) tech, SI states its Black Diamond Fusion ALR screen provides max gain of 1.0 as well as a 160-degree viewing cone at a max screen size of 130 inches in a 16:9 aspect ratio. The company also asserts that the screens feature zero texture, zero speckle and no glare to interfere with the viewing experience. Supporting features for the dark-gray screen include a choice of Sub-Zero and Zero Edge frame styles, 160-degree viewing angle, and optional LED lights.
According to the company, while ALR is generally the preferred projection screen technology today, SI states every ALR screen has its Achilles’ heel — whether it’s a narrow viewing angle, texture or sparkle issues, hotspots or excessive light requirements. Black Diamond Fusion ALR, the company says, was developed in attempt to mitigate many of these shortcomings.
SI adds that the Black Diamond Fusion ALR was designed for commercial environments like hospitality venues, boardrooms, museums, digital signage, and airports, and the display is designed to deliver vibrant, crystal-clear images from every angle — all at a fraction of the cost of traditional LED walls.
