Nice will showcase its sun shading portfolio at Lightapalooza 2026, the annual lighting-focused trade event taking place February 16–19 at the Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock, Texas.
Lightapalooza brings together integrators, lighting designers, architects, manufacturers, and other professionals across the custom integration channel for education, product discovery, and networking. At the show, Nice will present its Nice Sun Shades lineup, emphasizing modern design, motor technology, and integration with smart-home platforms for both residential and commercial applications.
Intelligent Sun Shading Enables Comfort and Control
Nice Sun Shades are designed to combine fabric options, proprietary motors, and control flexibility into a unified shading solution. The portfolio includes interior roller shades and exterior screen options intended to support light control, thermal comfort, and aesthetic integration within a space. According to the company, systems are engineered for quiet operation and can integrate with leading automation platforms, enabling control through mobile apps, voice assistants, or centralized control systems.
“We’re excited to engage with the custom integration community at Lightapalooza,” says Chris Lynch. “Our Nice Sun Shades reflect Nice’s commitment to marrying design excellence with cutting-edge technology — and events like Lightapalooza give us the opportunity to demonstrate that combination live to professionals who foster more user-friendly home and business spaces.”
Beyond performance and integration, Nice is positioning product availability as a differentiator. The company notes that its fabric inventory, typically ranging from 16 to 20 materials, is kept in stock to help integrators avoid project delays. The custom shade program also allows integrators and designers to match printed shades using references such as Pantone chips or RAL color charts to align with interior color schemes.
To support a range of installation requirements, Nice Sun Shades are available with multiple power options, including wired AC or DC, as well as rechargeable lithium battery configurations. The company says these options are intended to give integrators flexibility when incorporating shades into existing or new-build environments.
