Nationwide Marketing Group Targets Build Channel in Newest Initiative

NMG Builder Connect aims to open a fast, coordinated path to builders, streamlining procurement, leads and project opportunities in residential and multi-family construction.

Nationwide Marketing Group (NMG) is adding support for the builder and contractor channel with NMG Builder Connect, a new program designed to make procurement, fulfillment and distribution simpler for professionals working across single-family and multi-family construction.

What is NMG Builder Connect?

According to NMG, the Builder Connect program taps into the group’s existing scale and relationships. FEI Group brings national reach across single-family and multi-family builders, while Azione Unlimited, Oasys Residential Technology Group, and Ellipsys connect builders to integrators and products for projects that might otherwise slip through the cracks.

Doug Wrede, NMG’s EVP of operations, framed it this way: “Builder Connect brings together our partnerships, our scale and the expanded reach of our newer platforms to help every participant grow in a more efficient, more connected way.”

Through Builder Connect, partners will get access to:

  • Coordinated procurement with top manufacturers
  • Rebate and performance-management tools
  • Digital marketing support — websites, social, ads
  • Lead flow tied to NMG’s distributor networks
  • Peer learning and operational training

The full list of segments planned, as outlined by NMG, include: Flooring Builder Connect, Appliance Builder Connect, Furniture and Bedding Builder Connect and Consumer Electronics (CE)/Custom Integration (CI) Builder Connect.

The Growing Importance of Build Channels

For integrators, that last segment should be of particular interest, especially as the builder channel has grown in importance for custom integrators.

Part of the biggest challenge for many businesses has been finding avenues for arriving onto the project as soon as possible so that AV, lighting and smart home systems can be adequately planned for in the building process.

While many have worked to ingratiate themselves with builders, designers and architects in ways that allow them to get in on the conversations at the ground floor, more formalized programs such as this can act almost like matchmaking services (to put it crudely), giving integrators another avenue for connecting with build professionals.
