The residential and commercial market media distribution company states the product has the ability to add a stereo source to any Just Add Power MaxColor 4K60 system. The ST1 can also be used to extract stereo audio from an existing system source.
“The ability of the ST1 to inject and extract stereo audio is revolutionary,” says Ed Qualls, CEO and founder of Just Add Power. “You’ll no longer have to choose between your preferred audio and video, as they can easily be outputted simultaneously. Your personal and professional media consumption is about to change forever, and we’re excited to be at the helm of that.”
ST1 Sound Device Provides Simple Connectivity for Turnkey Stereo Configurations
Just Add Power explains that as an audio input, the ST1 feeds stereo audio into a Just Add Power system. Any audio source with an analog audio output, including a PC, a Sonos amp, CD player, microphone, and more can be connected and played on any decoder. As an audio output, the ST1 in encoder mode can play any stereo audio content from any Just Add Power device while providing volume control. The ST1 Sound Device in decoder mode can extract analog audio from any source connected to a Just Add Power encoder within the system. According to the company, this feature offers users the flexibility of having a dedicated device specifically for stereo audio-only zones for a lower cost than other solutions.

As a result of these features, Just Add Power asserts that integrators can easily build a stereo audio distribution matrix with unlimited inputs and outputs that runs over network wiring. Further, by combining the ST1 device with Just Add Power encoders and decoders in the same installation, integrators now can mix audio and video in new and unique ways.
The company adds that through ST1 Sound Device’s scalability, the audio-only device works seamlessly with all Just Add Power product lines including Maxcolor (4K60), Ultra (4K30), and Omega (1080p). Integrators can combine Just Add Power encoders (transmitters), decoders (receivers) and the ST1 in the same installation to enable their residential clients to watch their favorite content while listening to radio commentary; users can give a presentation by mixing PC video with microphone audio, or even add audio return channel from a smart TV.
