Luxury home integration firm Future Automation & Design has announced the grand opening of its new Experience Center and Integrator’s Academy in Redondo Beach, Calif., a facility designed to advance professional training and showcase the latest in smart home technology.

The Integrator’s Academy is a central feature of the new location, offering advanced coursework for programmers and technicians who have completed Tech One or equivalent training. The curriculum is tailored to help professionals deepen their expertise with Control4 and Josh.ai platforms, with separate tracks for each. Training will also extend to Snap One’s ecosystem of networking, AV, and smart home solutions, equipping attendees with practical skills that reflect real-world conditions.

The classroom environment includes fully equipped racks, interactive demo zones, and access to Snap One’s broad product lineup. According to company owner Patrick Coleman, the goal is to provide a collaborative, hands-on setting for both new and experienced dealers.

“Our vision for the Integrator’s Academy is to create a collaborative space where experienced dealers, new dealers, and programmers can deepen their knowledge, refine their skills, and keep pace with the rapid evolution of smart home technology,” said Patrick Coleman, owner of Future Automation & Design. “By focusing on advanced programming for both Control4 and Josh.ai (with separate curriculums for each), and leveraging the breadth of Snap One’s ecosystem, we’re helping integrators deliver truly exceptional connected home experiences.”

Beyond training, the Experience Center will serve as a client-facing showcase for home automation, AV, hidden speaker technology, lighting, and shading solutions. Industry partners and homeowners will be able to see connected systems in action, positioning the facility as both an education hub and a demonstration space.

Enrollment for the inaugural sessions of the Integrator’s Academy is expected to open later this month, with classes beginning in the fall. Future Automation & Design, which has more than 27 years of experience in the Los Angeles and South Bay markets, says the initiative underscores its commitment to integrator education and the advancement of smart home technologies.
