Updating its CXA81 integrated amplifier, the British home audio company Cambridge Audio, has announced its new CXA81 MK II integrated amplifier.
Cambridge Audio boasts that since 1968 when it developed its first integrated amplifier it has always strived to provide music fans high-performance, high-value products. In developing the CXA MK II integrated amplifier, Cambridge Audio states that it has retuned the performance of its latest product that includes the introduction of 10 new components to the integrated amp’s circuit design to improve signal flow.
The news follows the company announcing an updated version of its Evo All-in-One player earlier this year, which brought in analog VU meters to the product line, among other features.
Cambridge Audio CXA81 MK II Integrated Amplifier Features Class A/B Power
Serving as the foundation for its new integrated amplifier, Cambridge Audio explains that a Class A/B amplifier section that includes a toroidal transformer enables the product to produce 80-watts per channel.
Internally, the CXA81 MK II integrated amplifier utilizes the new ESS ES9018K2M SABRE32 digital-to-analog converter (DAC) to allow users to listen to their digital content without compromising on sound quality. The integrated amplifier’s rear panel provides integrators with a choice of unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR analog audio connections, as well as TOSLINK, coaxial, and USB audio digital connections.
Additionally, the company notes, the integrated amplifier offers homeowners Bluetooth aptX HD to support wireless audio with devices such as smart phones, computers, and its Cambridge Alva turntable.
Cambridge Audio emphasizes, the newly announced CXA81 MK II integrated amplifier joins its CXN100 Network Player and CXC Compact Disc Transport to provide homeowners a complete Cambridge Audio stack of components that is capable of reproducing digital and physical media source content.
