Blackwire Designs has announced significant updates to its Ruckus 101 training guide.
According to Blackwire, the updated version introduces a redesigned user interface intended to improve readability and simplify navigation, while adding full support for the latest Ruckus firmware. The company says the refreshed layout enables faster movement between sections and incorporates embedded visuals and screenshots throughout the guide to illustrate configuration steps more clearly.
Cody Crossland, Vice President of sales and customer service at Blackwire Designs, said the Ruckus 101 update builds on the guide’s long-standing role as a reference for integrators deploying Ruckus networks. The new interface, he noted, is designed to make the guide easier to use for professionals at varying levels of experience.
Beyond visual changes, the latest Ruckus 101 includes expanded guidance for multiple interface versions and now covers Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 product lines. Blackwire says this broader scope reflects the current mix of wireless technologies being deployed in the field. The guide’s revised structure is also intended to allow faster updates as Ruckus introduces new features or interface changes.
To further streamline use, sections are now labeled by experience level, with content tailored for beginners, intermediate users, and advanced professionals. Newer integrators can follow step-by-step walkthroughs, while experienced users can more quickly access specific configuration details. The guide also includes troubleshooting information and highlights common challenges integrators may encounter during deployment.
Blackwire stated that its internal team tests each Ruckus update before revising the guide, with the goal of ensuring accuracy and accounting for real-world conditions installers may face. This process is intended to reduce errors, shorten installation time, and promote consistency across projects regardless of technician experience.
Ruckus 101 remains a free resource for the industry, with Blackwire saying the updated guide is part of its broader effort to provide integrators with practical tools that support efficient network deployment and management.
