GOER DYNAMICS B.V., has announced that its latest adaptive streaming codec, AURO-CX, is powering the newly launched global music streaming platform, AuroMasters, which is dedicated to immersive audio. This launch marks a new avenue for the availability of immersive music, positioning AURO-3D technology alongside other popular audio companies that are offering three-dimensional sound experiences.
Unlike conventional streaming approaches, Auro-3D asserts, AuroMasters leverages AURO-CX with Adaptive Bitrate (ABR) mode, ensuring smooth performance across varying network conditions. This means, the company suggests, that listeners can enjoy the same original high-resolution master recordings whether they are at home on a high-speed connection or on the move with fluctuating bandwidth. Instead of downscaling to a “lower” version of the music, the AURO-CX principle dynamically adapts delivery, always preserving the immersive detail and intent of the artist.
“With AuroMasters, we are realizing a long-standing dream: bringing Immersive Music in studio-quality directly to listeners everywhere,” says Wilfried Van Baelen, CEO and Founder of AuroMasters. “By combining AURO-3D with its next-generation streaming, we can finally deliver Immersive Music as artists intended to everyone while introducing a business model that brings fans and creators closer together.”
According to Auro-3D, no specialized equipment is needed to experience the content. Listeners only need a phone and any headphones, or a set top box (STB) and immersive speaker setup compatible with AURO-3D or Dolby Atmos. Users can explore its catalog through free previews before unlocking full tracks via a credit system, while artists benefit from a fairer distribution model that rebalances music streaming economics.
AuroMasters is available initially in Europe, the U.K., the U.S.A., and Japan from the App Store, Google Play, or Android TV.
