UK-based audio manufacturer Lithe Audio is launching a new integration between its Pro Series and Wi-Fi active ceiling speakers and the Nice/ELAN smart home platform, enabling music transport control, multi-room functionality, source and favorites setting and more.
The Lithe Audio Pro Series ceiling speaker is a high-resolution all-in-one installation model that delivers high-quality audio coupled with features such as a fully-integrated, built-in 60W RMS class D amplifier; Streamer built-in; advanced WiSA technology for Dolby Atmos systems; Wi-Fi or hardwire data connection; and PoE power delivery.
The Lithe Wi-Fi ceiling speaker is an all-in-one wireless speaker system designed to be easy to install. With the addition of power and control through the Nice/ELAN integration, or directly through Airplay2, Chromecast or Spotify Connect, users can stream music more easily.
However, a key feature of the integration is with the Pro Series models, embedding chimes and tones, as well as doorbell and intruder alert sounds directly within the internal memory of the speakers. The company says this eliminates the problems of latency, buffering and timeouts.
In addition, sounds and alerts will no longer be reliant upon cloud source files, the company says. With those sounds now stored in the internal memory of the speakers, users get smooth and uninterrupted audio free from connectivity issues.

According to Lithe Audio, the integration also allows integrators to program those sound libraries for a range of smart features, such as doorbells, alarms, CCTV, and boundary control to provide a comprehensive audio solution for both residential and commercial settings.
The company says users can not only enjoy a rich audio experience but also control speaker functions and stream from multiple sources, making Lithe Audio speakers the heart of a modern smart home.
Users can now also experience multi-room playback in up to five different zones.
The integration elevates the Nice/ELAN audio offering without the need for complex installations or additional cabling, the company says.
“With Lithe Audio, it’s as simple as connecting from the power or lighting circuit, opening up a new era in smart home audio, solving age-old issues of running cables to hard to reach rooms and empowering a new wave of smart features. This integration with Nice/ELAN is set to redefine how we experience sound, offering a more reliable, sophisticated, and seamless audio solution for smarter homes,” the company says in a press release.
