Welcome to Friday folks. Let’s get you Wired In to some of the major product announcements you might have missed from this week. Savant added a new recommended partner to its shading portfolio. Meze Audio has an all-new set of in-ear monitors. And Firewalla is updating its app to include stricter network protections on via its machine learning function.
Q Acoustics E60 Audio System
Source: Essential Install
Q Acoustics introduced the E60 in-wall audio system earlier in the week as an entry-level addition to Q Acoustics’ easy install family, joining the E120 Bluetooth and DAB radio in-wall system and E300A.
According to Q, the integrated power amplifier drives up to two pairs of in-ceiling speakers or cabinet models to deliver a controlled, balanced and dynamic performance across a range of listening environments.
The system is tuned and optimized for use with Q Acoustics’ range of in-ceiling, in-wall and outdoor easy install speakers, while maintaining full compatibility with third-party install speakers for extra flexibility.
Wireless audio is handled via Bluetooth 5.0, supporting two-way control for volume, play/pause and track skip. For wired sources, an optical digital input allows for connection to a television or other external source.
D’Agostino Master Systems Momentum Z Mono Amplifier
Source: Stereophile
Dan D’Agostino Master Systems (DDMAS) unveiled its new Momentum Z mono amplifier at the Dan D’Agostino factory in Cave Creek, Arizona as part of its 15th Anniversary event earlier this week.
According to the company, the amp measures in at 13.5″ W x 5″ H x 20.5″ D with one balanced XLR input and one pair of loudspeaker binding posts. It features dual 1200VA linear toroidal transformers, and is specified to output 500W in 8 ohms, 1000W into 4 ohms, and 2000W into 2 ohms.
The specified frequency response is –1dB over a 1Hz–200kHz range and 0.1dB over the audioband. The Z also comes with an Ethernet port that lets the user monitor operating voltages, temperature, bias, DC offset, 12V trigger status and more.
Firewalla App Version 1.68
Source: Firewalla
Firewalla announced App Version 1.68 earlier this week, adding “enhanced machine-learning (ML) protection” and a refreshed user interface alongside time management tools and other network security and control tools.
At the center of the release is an update to Firewalla’s Device Active Protect (DAP) ML-powered security feature available on Gold Series hardware. As part of the update, users can now choose between Default mode for balanced flexibility during learning and optimization, or Strict mode for tougher enforcement once devices complete their learning phase.
Added capabilities include automatically isolating compatible Wi-Fi devices when using AP7 hardware to minimize unnecessary local chatter, and the ability to restart learning on eligible devices to reset and refine behavior profiles.
Rule management and visibility have also been updated with custom rule names, direct hit-time views in the Rules List, matching rules shown on flow details for faster troubleshooting, summary counts of local/online/offline devices and per-device notes.
Savant x Silent Gliss
Source: Silent Gliss
Savant announced the addition of Silent Gliss as a Recommended Partner for window treatments. Based in Bern, Switzerland, Silent Gliss has been a leading global manufacturer of precision window treatment solutions since it introduced the world’s first silent curtain track system in 1952.
As part of the partnership, Savant integrators will have access to the SG 5600 and the hand-operated SG 6970 series of motorized or manual curved and straight drapery tracks as well as the SG 7650 series exposed motorized drapery rods.
Silent Gliss products are built-to-size for each order, though, in its announcement, Savant notes that Silent Gliss track systems require a 4–6-week lead time.
Meze Audio ASTRU In-Ear Monitor
Source: CE Pro
Meze Audio introduced the ASTRU in-ear monitor (IEM) earlier this week, with the new design set to preview this weekend at CanJam NYC.
According to Meze, the ASTRU users a multilayer composite dynamic driver diaphragm, engineered to balance speed, control, and musical weight. The diaphragm dome features over 80 ultra-thin layers of gold, applied during a 48-hour physical vacuum DC magnetron sputtering process, then bonded to a titanium layer and finally mounted on a PEEK base.
The IEM is delivered as a complete, ready-to-use system, designed for high-end portable listening. It includes a premium balanced cable that features CNC-anodized aluminium hardware and a gold-plated 4.4 mm balanced termination.
ASTRU will be available for purchase starting March 20, 2026, on mezeaudio.com, mezeaudio.eu and in selected retailers worldwide, with a suggested retail price of $899.
Additional specifications are as follows, with more information being available on the Meze Audio website:
- Driver Size: 10 mm
- Frequency Range: 5 Hz – 35 kHz
- Impedance: 32 Ω
- Sensitivity: 111 dB SPL/mW at 1 kHz
- Input Connector: 2-Pin
- Total Harmonic Distortion: <0.1% at 1 kHz
