Welcome to Friday folks. Let’s get you Wired In to some of the major product announcements you might have missed from this week. Bond has a new integration with Twitchell shade motors. Firewalla just added a brand new VPN server to its cybersecurity offering. And Bang & Olufsen concluded their centennial celebration with some decidedly decadent Beolab models.
Cleerline SSF MTP Patch Cords

The Cleerline Technology Group has introduced multistrand MTP patch cords built with SSF fiber. Cleerline MTP Patch Cords are available now.
Unlike traditional fiber, SSF features an integral polymer coating introduced to increase bend tolerance and long-term reliability while eliminating the need for bulky armored construction. As such, the patch cables are designed to maintain optical performance even under tight bends.
The cables are available in 8, 12 or 24 fiber OM3, OM4 (multimode) and OS2 (single-mode) constructions. Assemblies are available in multiple polarities, in both UPC and APC polishes, and in both male and female constructions. Custom lengths, trunk builds and breakouts are also available to meet specific project needs.
All Cleerline cords feature premium US Conec Elite MTP connectors, which provide full compatibility with standard MPO connectors while enabling easier installation and reduced insertion loss.
Bond x Twitchell Integrations
Source: Bond
Bond announced a new integration with Twitchell’s Tri-Power tubular shade motors that make them controllable via Bond bridges. Tri-Power is Twitchell’s first motor offering, designed for interior and exterior shade customers.
At present, operating the Sidekick for Shades and Mate Pro direct RF (radio frequency) remote controls with the Tri-Power motors require the use of the Bond Bridge Pro. However, this will only be temporary as Bond CEO Zohar Shinar has stated that, as the products mature, the requirement will be phased out.
Twitchell itself is a domestic textile manufacturer specialized in weaving interior and exterior fabrics for residential, commercial, marine, and hurricane markets.
For interior applications, the Tri-Power motors make use of Smart Power technology, which allows for the motors to be used as rechargeable battery motors, or in a hardwired installation where they can power up to forty motors on up to 1,000 feet of daisy-chained wiring, all from a single 65W power supply.
Firewalla App Update 1.68
Source: Firewalla
Firewalla has released Firewalla App version 1.68, featuring the new AmneziaWG VPN Server as its centerpiece. The update also delivers smarter device protection, a refreshed app interface, expanded time controls and network management tools.
The AmneziaWG VPN Server is a WireGuard-based protocol designed for speed, reliability, and privacy—even on networks that block traditional VPNs. According to Firewalla, AmneziaWG works by disguising traffic as common UDP protocols, allowing users to bypass restrictive network policies while maintaining high performance.
App 1.68 also strengthens Device Active Protect, introducing Default and Strict modes, automatic device isolation when paired with Firewalla AP7, and the ability to reset the learning process on eligible devices.
The refreshed app features a cleaner bottom navigation bar for Home, Devices, and Alarms with customizable avatars, while rules and shortcuts are now more accessible. Expanded time controls also allow users to monitor internet activity, create app group limits, and enforce usage restrictions.
Matter 1.5.1
Source: CSA
The Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) has released Matter 1.5.1. While not a full update, the maintenance update is being used to build on the camera support introduced with version 1.5 in November 2025.
The update brings support for multi-stream video and audio delivery, allowing a camera to deliver multiple optimized streams simultaneously: a high-resolution feed for recording, a lower-resolution version for mobile devices, and a separate stream for AI-based image analysis.
Snapshot images can now also be delivered in the HEIC format, which offers better image quality at smaller file sizes compared to JPEG. For recorded video, the specification adds full support for HLS and DASH streaming upload via the CMAF Interface-2 profile.
Improvements have also been made to pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) behavior for greater flexibility on camera positioning. Doorbells, chimes, and intercom devices have also received updates with chimes now being able to play a specific ringtone on command from the Matter Controller, rather than simply triggering their default sound.
Bang & Olufsen Beolab 90 Zenith and Monarch Editions

Bang & Olufsen has released the final two editions in its five-part Atelier centenary series: the Beolab 90 Monarch Edition and Beolab 90 Zenith Edition.
The Beolab 90 Monarch Edition encases the original design in angled rosewood lamellas and precisely finished aluminium elements, transforming the flagship speaker into a flowing, sculptural object. Semi-transparent fabric sections offer glimpses of the acoustic drivers behind.
The Beolab 90 Zenith Edition draws on Bang & Olufsen’s Atelier mastery, with thousands of aluminum spheres and subtle mother-of-pearl laid across the entire speaker. Six panels feature 289 anodized aluminum spheres each, arranged in seven bespoke pearl-inspired colors, creating a shimmering, reflective.
The Beolab 90 Monarch and Zenith Edition join the Shadow, Mirage and Titan Editions as distinct expressions of the manufacturer’s craftsmanship created to mark the brand’s centenary.
