Velox Fiber HDMI Cables

At the upcoming CES show on Jan. 7-10 in Las Vegas, Metra Home Theater will launch its new Velox Fiber HDMI line of products.

Metra says the EHV-HDG2 series from Velox will be offered in lengths ranging from 10 to 100 meters (32.8 feet to 328 feet).

Professional integrators can see the latest products from Metra Home Theater in booth #11435 in the Central Hall during the annual trade event.

The Fla.-based company explains that while the official specifications for the next generation of connectivity hasn’t been released, it knows that bandwidth is the key to delivering these higher resolutions for home AV.

Metra specifies the Velox Fiber cables to deliver 48Gbps of throughput to support formats such as 10K that are designed to run at 12Gbps times four channels.

The Velox cables incorporate Ethernet, and they also support color subsampling, dynamic HDR, backwards compatibility with HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2, and they are CL-listed for in-wall installations.

In addition, the products include power with USB on the display end of the cables, multi-layer shielding and 24k-gold plated contact connectors.
