URC has stated it plans to unveil a wide range of updates aimed at empowering its dealer network and expanding its footprint in residential and commercial automation at CEDIA Expo 2025.

According to URC, the company’s CEDIA Expo presence will emphasize several key themes: scalable and customizable control systems, expanded voice and AI-driven functionality, modern industrial design, and an evolving training and support ecosystem.

While no direct developments related to AI are being announced right now, the company has stated that it is continuing to invest in artificial intelligence and machine learning features, building on the 2024 introduction of a virtual assistant and a virtual reality smart home demo environment.

This year marks URC’s fourth decade in the custom integration channel with URC stating it remains focused on delivering end-to-end control platforms that balance reliability, user experience and flexibility as it moves forward.

The company’s booth (#2118) will showcase advancements in voice control, lighting, user interface customization, audio and automation, with one of the most significant announcements being the debut of URC Voice, the company’s proprietary voice-enabled control platform.

Designed to work across Total Control and Complete Control systems, URC Voice expands the company’s existing voice capabilities, which already include certified integrations with Apple TV, Comcast Xfinity and Amazon Alexa.

URC is also expanding its personalization tools through its Accelerator software platform. Dealers can now create custom user interfaces with new background themes, icon libraries, and design portfolios tailored to the aesthetic preferences of homeowners and commercial users.

In lighting, URC will introduce the LT-3400 in-wall keypad, an upgrade to its existing lighting control products. The LT-3400 features simplified programming, macro launch capabilities, and customizable LED indicators. The company has also partnered with Black Nova to offer high-end keypads that integrate seamlessly with URC’s Total Control system.

The company’s High-Definition Audio (HDA) platform will see increased scalability and versatility thanks to a new partnership with NETGEAR. HDA systems now include a wider selection of amplifiers, adapters, and switches, all featuring DSP and paging capabilities suited for both residential and commercial installations.

For dealers seeking streamlined solutions, URC is also expanding its URC Essentials line. Starting at $1,000 MSRP, the entry-level offering includes an advanced system controller and an ergonomic remote or touchscreen, delivering the core benefits of Total Control in a more accessible format.

URC will also launch the MRA-DUO, a compact control device that supports Bluetooth and IR integration. Its small form factor makes it ideal for entertainment rooms, bedrooms, and office environments where these connectivity types are essential.

New integration partnerships announced ahead of the show include Axion Lighting, Black Nova, BluOS Music, Furrion TVs, Hisense, Jellyfish Lighting, Network Thermostats, SunBrite TVs, and WiiM Music Players.
