The Height-Adjustable TV Soundbar Mount attaches to most TVs up to 90-inches and is engineered specifically so that Sony’s BRAVIA Theater Bar 8 or Bar 9 mounts directly beneath the display. The mount offers 1.7 inches of depth adjustment and as much as 15 inches in vertical height adjustment, along with easy leveling for fine-tuning alignment.
The Height-Adjustable Speaker Stands, meanwhile, are made specifically for the BRAVIA Theater Quad Speakers. These stands provide up to 17 inches of height adjustment while being able to hold speakers weighing up to six pounds. The stands also incorporate integrated cable management and stability features such as a weighted base and either rubber feet or carpet spikes to ensure secure placement on a variety of surfaces.
Flex Theaters and the Rise of Low-Profile Solutions
According to SANUS’s Garrett Humphrey, Product Marketing Manager, the release is part of a broader push for the brand to deliver solutions that “fit perfectly but also significantly enhance the listener’s experience,” particularly by enabling optimal sound dispersion while offering visually unified look.
While home theater systems have seen a resurgence in recent times as per our recent deep dive, as well as other third-party research, they have shifted in terms of priority. Instead of the dedicated, specialized home theaters of old, demand nowadays rests in multipurpose media room setups that can deliver cinema-like audio in everyday living spaces
It’s a dynamic that favors versatile and aesthetically clean solutions over bulky floor-standing gear, and within that context, the availability of accessories that allow necessary components to either blend into the background or disappear entirely into the design have grown to be in high demand.
In that regard, this new story is as much about Sony as it is about SANUS, as Sony itself has in recent times leveraged its other partnerships to build out design-related accessories for its BRAVIA home theater display in addition to mounts. Just the other day, Leon Speakers released news it had developed a new designer frame for the BRAVIA 7, which itself it a TV designed to resemble a work of art when not in use.
Samsung’s The Frame and Hisense’s Canvas are two separate TVs with similar function, and while we don’t currently have information how distributed Hisense’s Canvas TVs are on projects, CE Pro has seen a considerable surge in The Frame being featured on projects over the years, particularly in these flex spaces where the option for entertainment and hosting remains essential.
For integrators, these types of solutions allow for the deployment of premium AV hardware with minimal footprint, a highly desirable attribute among both clients and trade partners nowadays, and one that can often be the difference between whether or not a solution might get considered for a particular space in the first place.
Pricing and Availability
The two mounts are now available on Sanus’s website, with the speaker stands sporting an MSRP of $329.99 while the soundbar mount is going for $169.99 MSRP.
