Kordz Unleashes Wave of AOC HDMI, Outdoor Networking Cables Ahead of CEDIA Expo

CEDIA show attendees can stop by the Future Ready Solutions booth #2838 to see the latest Kordz products.
Published: August 21, 2025

With CEDIA Expo 2025 only two weeks away, Kordz has announced a slew of new products it is releasing ahead of show ranging from the debut of an all-new optical HDMI cable all the way down to new variants of its outdoor cabling line. Additionally, the company will be bringing back its termination challenge while at the Future Ready Solutions booth (#2838), injecting a friendly bit of competition for integrators while at the show.

Here is a closer look at some of the products that will be on display in the Kordz exhibit at CEDIA Expo/CIX:

PRO4 AOC HDMI Cable

Debuting for CEDIA Expo 2025, the PRO4 Active Optical HDMI Cable combines OM3 fiber, oxygen-free copper conductors and tip-to-tip foil shielding to ensure reliable signal delivery. Compact, gold-plated HDMI connectors provide a secure fit and long-lasting performance, while the 4.7mm cable diameter simplifies installation in dense racks, conduits and behind-wall spaces.

This construction, Kordz notes, allows the cable to support full 48Gbps uncompressed bandwidth at distances up to 100 meters without the need for external power or boosters. According to Kordz, this bandwidth enables transmission of 8K and 10K video with zero signal degradation, zero latency and reliability, mitigating common issues like signal loss and connector damage that can derail AV projects.

Along with its data performance, the cord has also been internally reinforced to sustain a 20kg pull force, in addition to being fire-rated to UL CMG standards. It’s also the first product on the market to earn DPL Labs’ Enhanced 48G Reference Standard certification.

That weight rating, in particular, will take center stage, as Kordz has stated it will be featured in a live, continuous “power lifting” demo, which will use a single PRO4 cable that suspends a full box of Cat6 cable while simultaneously powering a live TV display.

Kordz ONEv2 Passive HDMI Cable Designed for High Volume Commercial Integration

Joining the PRO4 will be the new ONEv2 Passive HDMI Cable, designed for high-volume deployments in hospitality, corporate, retail and education environments. The ONEv2 supports uncompressed 4K HDMI signals at 18Gbps from 0.5 to 5.0 meters. Competitively priced for bulk purchasing, Kordz says the ONEv2 allows integrators to scale without compromising quality.

Engineered for commercial reliability, the cable features a slim, flexible, fire-rated PVC jacket, compact connector assembly, and 1kg retention force, ensuring durability and ease of installation in dense racks and tight spaces. Each cable is individually tested to meet Kordz’s rigorous ‘Connectivity Assured’ standard and backed by a lifetime warranty.

The new ONEv2 HDMI cables also come in eco-friendly, 100% recyclable paper packaging that is quick and easy to open and dispose of.

Active Optical and Passive USB-C Cables Built for Real-World AV

Kordz is also launching a new range of PRO Active Optical and Passive USB-C cables engineered to support high-bandwidth data up to 20Gbps, 4K60 DisplayPort video and up to 240 watts of power in lengths from 0.5 to 2 meters, 60 watts at 3 meters.

For longer distances, the PRO Active Optical USB-C cables support 10Gbps data transmission, 4K60 video and 60 watts of power delivery up to 10 meters—which integrators can use for clean installs without extenders or converters.

Every cable also features a compact polycarbonate connector to minimize strain on device ports, a metal internal shell for strong EMI shielding, VW-1 fire rating, and the company notes the cables are backed by rigorous in-house testing for consistent performance and a 2-year warranty.

Cat6 Outdoor Networking Cables

The new Cat6 network cabling range includes:

  • PRO SlimCat Outdoor Cat6: Adding to its SlimCat line, a 28AWG ultra-slim cable for discreet, space-restricted or retrofit projects. Delivers 10Gbps up to 50 meters (164 feet), with full PoE++ support.
  • ONE Outdoor Cat6: A 24AWG above-ground cable that delivers 10Gbps up to 55 meters (180 feet) and 1Gbps up to 100 meters (328 feet).
  • ONE Direct Burial Cat6: This cable provides the same performance as the Outdoor Cat6 model, it adds a durable PE jacket and water-blocking gel filler for long-term underground use.

All three Kordz Cat6 outdoor networking cables are UV-stabilized and comply with global standards. They are meter-marked for precision, packaged for speed on-site and integrate seamlessly with Kordz’ existing system components.

Kordz Extends Popular Speaker Cabling Line with New Outdoor Variant

Lastly, Kordz will be introducing the ONE Outdoor Speaker Cable designed exclusively for outdoor audio installations.

The 14AWG cable is designed specifically for above-ground installations, featuring a UV-resistant outer jacket that protects against environmental damage. Inside, oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductors ensure clear, reliable sound over extended distances, supporting consistent audio performance across large outdoor zones.

The cord also sports a flexible design meant to be installer-friendly, simplifying trenching and cable pulls, even in challenging terrain. According to Kordz, it is even packaged in easy-to-use pull-boxes.

Termination Challenge Back for Another Round of Friendly Competition

A favorite exhibit among trade show attendees last year, the Kordz Termination Challenge is back for another round of hands-on fun at CEDIA Expo 2025. Attendees can visit the Future Ready Solutions booth to build and test their termination skills, best their peers and try to beat the impressive current challenge record of 35.05 seconds.

Open to all skill levels, the competition follows an “against-the-clock” format, offering participants the chance to win prizes.
