It often takes a community to help fight cancer. Dave Neveux, CEO of the North Easton, Mass.-based integration company Inspired Technology and Communications wanted to do his part, so he and his team jumped at the opportunity to help a local cancer nonprofit fit some newer technology into its aging complex.

When introduced to Christopher’s Haven, which provides free housing for families with children undergoing cancer treatment at nearby hospitals, the Inspired Technology team was instantly moved by the work they do to assist families that have had their lives turned upside down due to cancer.

Located in Boston’s West End, Christopher's Haven has a mission to operate a supportive community, which consists of an MDU building with nine temporary apartments and a common recreational area for families in need to relax and try to enjoy some time away from treatment.

“It gives me great pride to know our team’s efforts have made it a little more comfortable for the families that are staying at Christopher’s Haven.”

Once Dave Neveux learned the extent of the nonprofit's work, Inspired Technology and Communications proceeded to donate all products, labor, and expert services used while working.

“It’s immeasurable what the Inspired team did for Christopher’s Haven as an organization, and for the families and children staying with us,” says Catie Botting, family services manager at Christopher’s Haven.

“Watching movies, playing games and listening to music has never been this easy for everyone, and we can’t thank Inspired enough.”

Dave and his team were able to install 18 Blu Ray players, 18 Samsung TVs, 18 SurfIR remotes and XP3 Processors from RTI, two Xbox One gaming consoles, and a Sonos soundbar.

In addition, the team donated their time and expertise to set up and program all devices allowing the residents to have a more efficient experience.

“Christopher’s Haven is an outstanding organization that we are proud to partner with and support,” adds Neveux.

“It gives me great pride to know our team’s efforts have made it a little more comfortable for the families that are staying at Christopher’s Haven. We look forward to a long relationship with this important organization.”
