Apex Technologies will return to Lightapalooza 2026, taking place Feb. 16–19 at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock, Texas, with a live exhibit designed to demonstrate the intersection of advanced lighting design and power management.

The centerpiece of Apex’s exhibit is ProtoPixel, a digital pixel-based lighting solution that enables individual control of LEDs to create dynamic, programmable lighting environments. According to the company, the platform is intended for a wide range of architectural, artistic, and experiential applications, allowing integrators to move beyond static illumination toward more immersive and expressive lighting designs.

Throughout the show, attendees will be able to observe live demonstrations led by Noah Kaplan of Leon. Using LED strips and plexiglass, Kaplan will create lighting compositions in real time, illustrating how pixel-based lighting can be used as a creative medium rather than solely a functional system. Apex says the demonstrations are meant to help integrators visualize how similar approaches could be applied in residential and commercial projects, including entertainment spaces and custom architectural installations.

Supporting the lighting display will be Apex Technologies’ power management solutions, which the company says are critical to maintaining system stability and performance. The exhibit is intended to reinforce the role of clean, consistent power in preventing issues such as flicker or interference in sophisticated lighting systems, particularly those relying on precise digital control.

In addition to the exhibit hall demonstrations, Apex will contribute to Lightapalooza’s educational programming through participation in power-focused courses. Vince Luciani of Apex Technologies will lead sessions within the event’s Power Track, covering topics related to power quality and its impact on lighting and smart system reliability. The courses are designed to provide integrators with practical guidance they can apply to real-world installations.

According to Apex, the combined focus on creative lighting, system reliability, and education reflects a broader effort to position power and lighting as closely linked components within modern residential and commercial projects.
