With a message of simplicity, control, power and performance for home technology professionals, Apex Technologies is planning to return to CEDIA Expo this year with a special design for its booth setup. Reflecting its twin objectives in home theater performance and power quality, the company will be segmenting its booth into two distinct parts dedicated to each objective.
“At Apex Technologies, our goal is to make high-performance home theaters easier to deploy, manage, and enjoy,” says Ryan Donaher, owner of Apex Technologies.
“By collaborating with industry-leading technology innovators and continuing to evolve the capabilities of our core AV and power products, we’re delivering solutions that not only raise the bar for performance but also create new opportunities for integrators to thrive in a competitive marketplace. Together, we’re shaping a future where luxury home cinema is both seamless and accessible.”
Breaking down what the company will have on offer at Booth #4316, Apex says show attendees can explore its cutting-edge, multichannel audio system from TPI Aerospace, a cinema-centric control solution co-developed with Control Envy, Apex Technologies’ own power management solution and a new rack-mounted isolation transformer from Innovolt.
Apex Technologies Debuts Innovolt 2RU, 2kVA Rackmount Isolation Transformer
Brand new for CEDIA Expo 2025, Apex Technologies is introducing the INV-ISO-2000 isolation power transformer from Innovolt.
Designed to pair with an Innovolt voltage-regulating UPS, the INV-ISO-2000 galvanically isolates connected AV equipment from electrical noise generated within the home. Apex suggests this effectively lowers the electrical noise floor and reduces noise-related system lock-ups by creating a local, NEC-compliant neutral-ground bonding point.
Apex notes that while specifying a dedicated branch circuit for home cinema equipment is good practice, it doesn’t fully protect systems from cross-contamination caused by noisy motor/appliance loads on shared neutrals throughout the home. Elevated voltage (noise) on neutral-to-ground can still degrade performance and shorten component lifespan, hence why the company is introducing the INV-ISO-2000.
Apex Technologies Power Hub Delivers Power Management for AV Systems
Clean, consistent power is the foundation of any high-performance system. Delivering that clean power, the Apex Power Hub from Apex Technologies was developed to provide home technology professionals with a centralized, intelligent platform for monitoring, controlling, and automating power systems across both residential and commercial AV environments.
The company says that home technology professionals rely on voltage-regulating double-conversion online UPSs from Apex, paired with GUDE IP-addressable Power Distribution Units (PDUs), to help ensure optimal system performance, prevent costly downtime, and protect valuable equipment from damaging power anomalies.
By adding the Apex Power Hub, the company asserts that integrators can gain centralized control of all Apex power products through a single, streamlined user interface, simplifying management and enhancing system reliability.
Designed for efficiency and ease of use, the Apex Power Hub features a compact form factor that integrates seamlessly into existing rack systems or network cabinets. Apex also points out the product’s web-based GUI eliminates the need for proprietary software or advanced programming knowledge to streamline setup and configuration.
With the product’s remote management capabilities, integrators can streamline system oversight. The platform enables quick silencing of all UPS alarms; it provides timely notifications for battery inspections and replacements; it offers access to historical power data for diagnostics and supports automated power-up and shutdown sequences.
Real-time alerts, delivered via email or SMS, along with detailed power quality analytics can be used to help dealers develop proactive maintenance strategies that help extend equipment lifespan and protect long-term system investments.
Apex Technologies Advanced Smart Home Controller Delivers DCI Metadata
The Apex Cinema Hub is designed as a brand-agnostic, web-based platform that Apex says streamlines the control of common components in luxury home cinema—projectors, processors, lighting, content sources, and more—into one intuitive, easy-to-use interface.
Powered by an HTML5-based architecture, the Hub was developed in collaboration with Control Envy and offers point-and-click configuration and secure, real-time monitoring, which Apex says should help reduce costly support calls. Additionally, Apex states the Hub offers offers universal access from smartphones, tablets, AVA remotes, and Crestron touch panels.
Additionally, Apex suggests that higher-end home theater components like Barco projectors, Quantum Media Systems LED video walls, StormAudio processors, Dolby decoders, Kaleidescape players, TPI speakers and Lutron lighting, can be integrated into the system to provide homeowners with true luxury smart home AV solutions.
The Cinema Hub also offers built-in real-time monitoring and secure remote access, allowing integrators to diagnose and resolve issues without costly truck rolls. These tools, according to Apex Technologies, open new opportunities for recurring service revenue through proactive maintenance packages, enhancing system reliability and client satisfaction.
The most notable feature, however, is the product’s native DCI (Digital Cinema Initiatives) content management, which helps it bridge the gap between commercial and residential theaters. It can display DCI title metadata, track playback timelines, resume content from the exact point it left off and showcase cover art for new releases, bringing what were once professional features for commercial cinemas into the luxury home theater experience.
New Speaker Technology from TPI Aerospace Complements Video Walls
Apex Technologies points out that one of the biggest challenges home technology professionals face when installing large direct-view LED (dvLED) display systems is determining where to place speakers to achieve both optimal surround sound and a visually seamless installation.
Traditional home theater speaker placement that includes behind acoustically transparent projection screens is impossible with dvLED walls, which do not allow sound to pass through. As a result, Apex Technologies concludes, integrators are forced to choose between preserving audio performance and maintaining a clean, immersive visual aesthetic, an all-too-common compromise.
To deal with these situations, Apex says TPI Movement by TPI Aerospace, distributed exclusively by Apex Technologies, eliminates this dilemma by delivering sound that seemingly comes directly from the display itself. Using the brand’s TPI DVC Movement Controller, the TPI Aerospace system manipulates timing, gain, and wavefronts to create phantom audio channels that are aligned with the onscreen action.
TPI Movement’s LCR loudspeaker modules are available in multiple sizes and in-wall and on-wall configurations. The flexible, customizable, integration-friendly design offers integrators a solution to deliver cinematic sound that complements the visuals of dvLED technology.
