NAD Electronics has announced that its C 700 and C 700 V2 BluOS Streaming Amplifiers are now officially certified for Dirac Live Room Correction, a move that allows users to fully leverage one of the industry’s most advanced digital room correction technologies. Dirac Live uses patented algorithms to analyze and adjust for a room’s unique acoustic properties, enhancing imaging, tightening bass, and improving overall sound accuracy.
“Dirac Live Room Correction further strengthens the C 700 and C 700 V2’s position as category leaders for stereo streaming amplifiers,” said Cas Oostvogel, NAD Product Manager. “By enabling this leading technology, we’re offering listeners a significant upgrade in audio fidelity and room tuning flexibility—further proof of NAD’s commitment to delivering high-end performance in an elegant, user-friendly package.”
First launched in 2021, the NAD C 700 was designed as a modern, compact streaming amplifier, pairing high-resolution audio performance with convenience. Its HybridDigital UcD amplifier delivers 2 x 80 watts of power, capable of driving demanding speaker loads with clarity and dynamic range. The system integrates with BluOS, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Qobuz, and more, while pairing it with a high-resolution color display and app-based control.
The 2024 C 700 V2 builds on its predecessor with several upgrades, including Dirac Live certification, an improved ESS SABRE DAC, and refined circuitry for better resolution and soundstage. The V2 also adds a phono input for vinyl playback and supports surround sound via BluOS, offering a versatile two-channel platform capable of immersive audio experiences.
Availability and Licensing
Dirac Live Room Correction is now available on both the C 700 and C 700 V2, with users able to purchase a full Dirac Live license for advanced room calibration.
