DoorBird has some big news for Crestron dealers, as the company has just announced its D11x series intercoms now sport direct integrations with Crestron Home. The company has also announced forthcoming support for the D18x series on the platform.
What the Crestron Home Integration Adds to DoorBird
Baseline, the new functionality, adds native compatibility with DoorBird D11x and D18x series products Crestron Home touch screens. According to DoorBird, this is made possible through Crestron’s RAVA protocol, making the integration hardware free and allowing users to directly control DoorBird door stations directly from the Home interface.
Some noteworthy features of the new integration include:
- Group calling using RAVA from DoorBird to Crestron touch panels.
- Managing native and external relay functions for gates.
- Receiving real-time notifications for doorbell rings, RFID scans (D18 only), motion detection and fingerprint authentication.
- And express configuration by enabling the “Crestron” switch in the DoorBird Connect section during setup.
