CEDIA, the global trade association for the home technology industry, has announced a webinar to help integrators strengthen their businesses in the event of a recession. The webinar, titled “Recession Ready: Leaning into the Downturn” will take place May 17 at 12 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. BST.
During the webinar, Walt Zerbe, CEDIA’s senior director of technology and standards, will moderate a discussion between Leslie Shiner, a finance and management consultant, and Henry Clifford, CEO of Livewire. These industry observers will discuss how the global economic outlook for 2023 will impact custom integrators.

The global trade group points out that no one can predict the exact timing and severity of a recession, but there are best practices every integrator can implement to prepare. Drawing on insights from the 2008 downturn, Clifford, Shiner and Zerbe will offer a guided business health checklist. They will also illuminate silver linings, pointing out business opportunities that are likely to emerge from the changes ahead.
