Business is brisk these days at Sounds Good Corp., a home-technology integrator in Waltham, Mass. Principal Gregory Brett says the recent release of Control4’s Smart Home OS 3 home-automation platform is keeping staff busy with service calls to help clients get the most of the new system.
OS 3, which enables more user personalization than ever before, “allows us to get back into the home and actually pitch and present new products and new features,” Brett says.
A slew of new subsystem integrations announced at CEDIA Expo 2019 gives the integration many reasons to return to existing customers.
Service-related sales to these clients are outpacing sales to new customers because of the rich opportunities offered in Smart Home OS 3. Brett says the “service side” of the business has “grown exponentially” because of the excitement around the new release.
Sounds Good has been a Control4 dealer for a dozen years and currently operates one Control4 Certified Showroom, with plans to open an additional store soon.
Brett says 38% of clients that visit the Waltham showroom buy products from the store. He credits Control4’s business resources, including marketing materials and end-user leads, for driving traffic and smart-home sales.
“We see a long-term relationship growing with Control4,” he says.
Control4 OS 3 won the CE Pro BEST Product award for Whole-House Control, presented at CEDIA Expo 2019.
