Diversifying its product line, Xantech introduced its Premium 4K Video over IP line of products.
Xantech, a Nortek Security & Control (NSC) brand is a well-known developer of IR control systems, and with the launch of the Premium 4K Video over IP line of products the company is providing integrators with a choice of three AV signal transmission devices that work over 1Gb networks.
The Carlsbad, Calif.-based manufacturer says the three products incorporate PoE (Power over Ethernet), and the product line incorporates a choice of transmitters, receivers and control modules.
Xantech explains product lines transmits lossless HDMI, along with bi-directional IR and RS-232 over a single category cable as far as 330 feet.
According to Xantech, the AV over IP solutions can be used for commercial applications that include video walls and residential whole-house AV.
Summarizing the products, here’s a brief look at the three systems:
- XT-4K-VIP-TX: 4K video transmitter with audio breakout that runs on PoE when connected to network switches or local sources.
- XT-4K-VIP-RX: 4K video receiver with audio breakout that runs on PoE via network switches or local sources.
- XT-4K-VIP-ACM: 4K Video over IP Advance Control Module enables third-party control of Xantech Video over IP systems using TCP-IP, RS-232 or IR.
