RTI KX4 Touchpanel

The global control and connectivity equipment manufacturer RTI, has announced its KX4 Touchpanel.

RTI states that its latest control solution is designed to simplify control in single-room commercial environments, and the product combines touch controls, along with hard buttons, and a built-in processor. According to RTI, the result of this all-in-one touchpanel is an automation solution that is cost effective for end users.

According to the Midwest-based manufacturer, some of the specific usage scenarios integrators can use the KX4 in-wall touchpanel include corporate huddle spaces for controlling presentation switchers, projectors, lighting, shades and thermostats. In a classroom or lecture hall RTI says integrators can use the KX4 Touchpanel for controlling smartboards, video displays, lighting, shades and thermostats. The in-wall touchpanel can also be used in MDU and hospitality environments to control 70-volt systems for controlling common area systems, as well as scheduling, and local and remote monitoring.

Additionally, dealers can use the KX4 to expand systems via connections to a main processor and powering it through its PoE capabilities.

RTI notes the RTI KX4 Touchpanel incorporates a 4-inch high-resolution capacitive touch display with five configurable hard buttons that can be customized with laser engraving. The product ships with a white bezel (black bezels can be ordered separately), and it uses the same back box as the company’s RX3 unit. Connection options the KX4 provides include IR, IP, RS-232 and sense ports.
