In production since the late 1990s, Monitor Audio has announced the latest edition of its popular Silver Series of loudspeakers.
The new 7th-generation of loudspeakers offers a choice of models to address a range of home installations, including stereo (2 channel), surround sound and immersive audio. Highlighting its newly redesigned products, the company states the product line incorporates a host of aesthetic and performance upgrades.
Monitor Audio points out the new Silver Series of products are available in a choice of five finishes and feature a new contemporary industrial design.
Internally, the new speakers include its new Rigid Surface Technology (RST) II driver design that utilizes an aluminum alloy that improves the strength of the cone, while providing the ability to handle a lot of power with low levels of distortion.
The Silver Series also features Monitor Audio’s latest C-CAM tweeter design that is highlighted by a new magnet structure and rear-chamber design. The C-CAM tweeter also includes the company’s new Uniform Dispersion Waveguide II and compression ring.
Controlling these drivers is a new crossover design that splits the incoming signal between the tweeter and mid/bass driver to help the speakers to produce, “perfect tonal balance.”
Monitor Audio adds, the new Silver Series speakers also include magnetic grilles with complementary woven cloth.
