Leviton, adding to its line of outdoor solutions, has announced its new Weather Resistant Switch series of products.
The N.Y.-based manufacturer states that its latest product launch serves homeowners as an all-in-one light switch option for outdoor applications. Leviton emphasizes it developed the new Weather-Resistant Switch line of products as an aesthetically pleasing means of providing a reliable way to control devices without the need for a protective cover due to the products’ placement in outdoor environments.
According to the company, its new Weather-Resistant Switch line of products features UV-stabilized thermoplastic construction, along with corrosion protection to withstand exposure to elements such as wind, rain, sunlight and snow over long periods of time.
Leviton also explains the new product line incorporates a unique design where actuation is achieved with magnets to allow the subplate/switch to withstand water intrusion.
Some of the other design elements the new Weather-Resistant Switch line of products features include industrial designs that are influenced by its indoor Decora products. The products also incorporate side and back wire connection options, and the products can be used in residential or commercial environments to control outdoor kitchens and bars, patio lighting, pool and spa lighting, ceiling fans and fountains.
Additionally, Leviton offers the products in 15-amp single pole and 3-Way models with white and gray color options.
