Bluesound HUB Whole-House Audio Accessory

Providing integrators a convenient way to integrate legacy source components into whole-house audio systems, Bluesound has introduced its HUB component.

The company says that its latest product supports the connection of analog or digital source components from any location throughout a home. Integrators can connect anything from turntables and CD players, to TVs and Ultra-Blu ray disc players. Blueound points out the HUB incorporates HDMI eARC, coaxial, digital optical, stereo RCA analog and a moving magnet (MM) phono stage, and each HUB in a system can simultaneously manage a digital source and an analog source.

In total, Bluesound states that a Bluesound whole-house audio system network can support up to four HUB units.

Backboned by the company’s BluOS platform, Bluesound explains that its newest component is easy to setup and install through the use of its companion app, which is available for iOS, Android and computer devices.

Internally, Bluesound points out the HUB employs an ARM CORTEX A53 processor, and the 1U-rack height device also includes four-way keyhole mounting slots and front-panel controls.

Other features built into the source-component interface include dual-band Wi-Fi and gigabit Ethernet network connections, USB-C power connections, and a black finish.

Bluesound adds that it expects the HUB to be available to authorized dealers sometime in mid-June 2022.
