Wolf Cinema 4K Projector Produces 2,900 ANSI Lumens

The newly announced $9,995 Wolf Cinema 4K PRO-817 Projector produces contrast ratios as high as 2,000,000:1 and includes HDR10 support.

Leveraging its deep roots in high-performance consumer video, the Wolf Cinema 4K PRO-817 Projector provides integrators with a competitively priced ($9,995) solution that employs a laser-phosphor light engine capable of producing up to 2,900 ANSI lumens of brightness.

The 4K PRO-817 uses a Texas Instruments (TI)-based single chip (0.66-inch TRP UHD/4K) to deliver a resolution of 3840 x 2160 and a maximum resolution of 4096 x 2160.

The projector's laser light engine provides a life expectancy of up to 20,000 hours, and in combination with its TI 4K chipset, can fill screens as large as 14-feet wide. It also is HDR10 compatible.

Wolf Cinema explains the projector is engineered to produce sharp and accurate color with SD, HD and UltraHD content, and through its use of customized BluHD laser modules, the 4K PRO-817 should offer the same level of performance throughout its entire lifespan, all without having to change bulbs.

In addition, the optional Pro Scaler image processor helps facilitate advanced system calibration and provides Wolf Cinema's E-VariScope processing, allowing homeowners to enjoy widescreen anamorphic movies, including 1.78:1, 1.85:1, and 2.35:1 aspect ratios without having to use an external anamorphic lens.
