Origin Acoustics, a leading manufacturer of architectural audio and electronics in the custom integration industry, has announced the addition of Joe Whitaker as vice president of Business Development.
Whitaker has long been a presence in the custom industry, with a background that includes being owner/partner of St. Louis, Mo., and Dallas area integration firm Thoughtful Integrations.
His two decades of experience in the industry that Whitaker brings to Origin Acoustics includes being an active CEDIA volunteer, serving as a Board of Directors member for eight years, and Governance Committee and Strategic Advisory Council member. During CEDIA Expo 2018, Whitaker took the role as one of the hosts for the inaugural Design Connection Tour.
Whitaker has assisted with CE Pro’s CEDIA Expo coverage and product reviews in the past; is an editorial contributor for Connected Design magazine; and was named to CE Pro sister publication Commercial Integrator’s “40 CI Influencers Under 40” list in 2015.
Whitaker Has History Helping Origin Acoustics Product Developments

Meanwhile, Whitaker has been a longtime ally and supporter of Origin Acoustics, the company notes. He has worked on more than a few product developments as a consultant, contributor and friend – such as the Valet audio amplifier he helped develop with Origin founder Jeremy Burkhardt that made a splash at CEDIA Expo five years ago.
