At CES 2026, LG Electronics is introducing its 2026 OLED lineup, highlighted by the return of the Wallpaper TV in the form of the LG OLED evo W6. The model revives LG’s ultra-thin Wallpaper Design first introduced in 2017, while incorporating True Wireless connectivity and a new picture platform branded as Hyper Radiant Color Technology.
The OLED evo W6 is positioned as the thinnest True Wireless OLED TV to date, measuring in a 9mm class form factor. LG says the design was achieved through a re-engineering of internal components and miniaturization of the TV’s architecture, allowing the display to sit flush against the wall using an updated wall-mount system. All external inputs are housed in LG’s Zero Connect Box, which can be placed up to 10 meters away, enabling wireless transmission of video and audio to the display.
Hyper Radiant Color and Brightness Enhancements
Central to LG’s 2026 OLED strategy is Hyper Radiant Color Technology, which the company says improves brightness, black levels, color reproduction, and reflection handling. According to LG, the W6 delivers up to 3.9 times higher luminance than conventional OLED displays through its Brightness Booster Ultra system.
To support performance in bright rooms, the Wallpaper TV uses a newly engineered screen designed to minimize reflectance. LG reports that the display has received Intertek’s Reflection Free Premium certification, while retaining UL Solutions verification for Perfect Black and Perfect Color performance.
Powering the W6 is the new α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen3, which features a neural processing unit that LG says is 5.6 times more powerful than the previous generation. The processor introduces a Dual AI Engine designed to manage noise reduction and texture preservation simultaneously, aiming to avoid the over-sharpening artifacts sometimes associated with AI-based image processing.
Gallery+ and Design-Focused Use Cases
The OLED evo W6 also integrates LG Gallery+, a platform intended to extend the TV’s role beyond entertainment. The service includes more than 4,500 visual assets, including artwork, cinematic imagery, gaming visuals, and user-generated photos or AI-created images. LG positions Gallery+ as a tool for interior-focused installations, allowing the display to function as a customizable design element when not in active use.
This comes after the company also announced its Gallery TV, an art-inspired framed TV designed to double as a framed piece of digital art.
Gaming and Performance Features
For gaming applications, the Wallpaper TV supports a 4K 165Hz refresh rate and is compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium. Additional features include a 0.1ms pixel response time and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), aligning the W6 with LG’s broader push into high-performance gaming displays across its OLED portfolio.
webOS, AI Personalization, and Security
According to the company, the webOS platform continues to anchor the user experience, with new personalization features enabled through Voice ID. The system can recognize individual users and automatically load personalized home screens, widgets, and apps. LG has also expanded its Multi-AI framework by integrating Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, enabling voice-based queries and contextual assistance.
Additional features include an updated AI Concierge and an “In This Scene” function that provides cast information and related content while viewing. LG says the platform is secured through LG Shield, which employs encryption and security measures designed to protect personal data. LG Shield received a CES 2026 Innovation Award.
The LG OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV and the full 2026 OLED evo lineup are on display at LG’s booth during CES 2026, taking place January 6–9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
