JVC Projectors, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation, is set to release its latest firmware for the 8K-enabled D-ILA projectors—DLA-NZ900/NZ800 (resellers) and DLA-RS4200/RS3200 (distributors)—in October 2025.
The popular manufacturer will share its latest technology upgrades to its customers, and it points out that all dealers need to do is upload the new firmware with upgraded functions to bring brighter and more vivid HDR images with greater contrast to their clients’ DLA-NZ900/NZ800 and DLA-RS4200/RS3200 projectors.
Highlighting some of the updates in the firmware, JVC says the updates include:
- Frame Adapt HDR Vivid:Â Improves depth and it enhances HDR images
- Highlight Color Control:Â Naturally increases color saturation in intense scenes
- MPC (Multiple Pixel Control):Â A proprietary JVC technology for resolution enhancement that has been improved for high-resolution content
- ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode):Â A function specific for gaming that automatically adjusts projector settings for the lowest possible latency to help optimize the projector for gaming activities.
JVC has also announced that as part of its new firmware update, a newly designed menu guide that addresses each mode and feature to provide easy-to-understand onscreen descriptions. JVC points out that new users can easily maneuver through the advanced settings and adjust quickly.
The company boasts that its attention to detail is seen in the recent improvements to the visibility and usability of the On-Screen-Display (OSD) menu. One upgrade makes the menu easier to read during low-light or HDR content playback.
In addition, a new menu function has been added that corrects the brightness of the OSD display. This reduces brightness shifts of the OSD display even during Dynamic Control of the laser light source, allowing for appropriate brightness adjustments. These features and their brightness levels can be easily switched ON/OFF to adapt to any environment.
JVC Improves Calibration Performance
JVC emphasizes that its new calibration software version further enhances the calibration accuracy of the projector. Now, trained dealers can calibrate choosing color temperature and color gamut as a targeted value. High-precision image adjustments can be made easily. Coupled with JVC’s latest generation of its calibration sensors which provide even more precise accuracy and operability.
In addition, JVC stresses the advanced key located on the remote can now store custom settings according to the user’s preferences. This makes it possible to recall video modes and image quality adjustment items with one touch. This simplifies access to presets and enables flexible video adjustment according to viewing environments and content.
