Digital Projection – projection mapping – In video mapping, multiple projectors mounted at different angles wrap video around objects. Software is used to scan the objects and manipulate the images so it appears the objects themselves are generating their own graphics. So far, we haven’t seen much in the way of projection mapping for consumer applications, but we should see it soon. It is much more efficient to wrap walls and objects with projected video rather than fixed LEDs and displays. Change the wallpaper, couches, dinner tables and kitchen countertops with a few strategically placed pico projectors. Or put a camera inside the refrigerator and project it onto the exterior of the appliance. The possibilities are endless.
