The next generation of Honeywell Total Connect Video includes several key additions, including self-contained keypads, a GSM module enclosure, and two high-definition indoor cameras and one outdoor camera that capture video using Honeywell Total Connect 2.0 app.

Honeywell (NYSE: HON), is soon to be rebranded as Resideo (NYSE: REZI). Kevin Piel, senior marketing manager, recently took CE Pro through the newly updated line.

The simple QR code-based setup makes the CCTV cameras easier to install, which can increase the number of installs per day, and helps integrators grow RMR. With Honeywell's Total Connect Remote Services, users can view live video, get notification alerts, and more on their smart devices.

The cameras install in minutes and blend into the decor. For indoor applications, the IPCAM-WIC1 offers up to 720p at 30 frames per second, with a wide-angle view of up to two detection areas.

The new indoor IPCAM-WIC2 captures up to 1080p at 30 frames per second and offers a wide-angle view of up to four detection zones. The homeowner can listen in on the indoor cameras, which can also provide an alert using motion or sound detection.

For outdoor use, the IPCAM-WOC1 offers up to 1080p at 30 frames per second, wide-angle view and up to four detection zones.

The built-in SD card ensures backup storage in the event of an internet outage and offers the option for 7-day or 30-day video storage. Night vision for low-light environments, digital zoom capabilities and flexible mounting options are additional features.

Honeywell Total Connect Earns RMR

Among the key functional features of the updated Total Connect are:

  • Fast installs and remote management maximize efficiencies
  • QR code installation and flexible mounting options save on installation time, allowing technicians to install more systems per day
  • Unnecessary truck rolls are prevented by solving problems remotely with AlarmNet 360 camera diagnostics

With the next generation of Honeywell Total Connect Video for residential and small business applications, dealers can deliver an integrated user experience, earn more RMR and capture new accounts with this end-to-end security and remote services platform.

Supporting up to eight new cameras per location, the QR code-based setup makes the camera easier to install, which can increase the number of installs per day.

Service is improved as the integration with AlarmNet 360 camera diagnostics can prevent unnecessary truck rolls

With this offering, security dealers can offer a competitively priced package with a variety of Honeywell Total Connect Video services, where users can view live video, get motion-based alerts and more on their smart devices.

They include two-way audio (indoor cameras), digital zoom and local storage that is frequently not available with other professionally installed and DIY solutions. Sharper night vision is offered with up to 1080p (IPCAM-WIC2 and IPCAM-WOC1) resolution.

Cloud video storage options are available of 7 days or 30 days per 8 cameras with local storage of up to 64 GB (8 GB included), providing backup in the event of an internet outage.
