Epson HC 4000 Projector Produces 2,200 Lumens with 4K HDR and Won’t Break the Bank

Integrators can now place vivid 4K HDR projection in clients' homes at a reasonable price. Epson's Home Cinema (HC) 4000 projector carries an MSRP of $2,200.

Epson has has introduced its new Home Cinema (HC) 4000 4K-enhanced HDR projectorThe “enhanced” in Epson parlance refers to pixel-shifting technology that delivers 4K resolutions from 1080p-capable chipsets, allowing Epson to keep its high-performance projectors relatively affordable.

Compatible with Ultra HD 4K HDR10 content, the HC 4000 projector is rated to produce up to 2,200 color and white lumens of brightness, along with contrast ratios as dynamic as 140,000:1. 

“Epson's latest 4Ke solution provides a comprehensive viewing experience that incorporates outstanding superior brightness, extreme contrast, broad color gamut, high-color fidelity and amazing resolution to deliver image quality that rivals more expensive 4K solutions currently available in the market today,” says Rodrigo Catalan, senior product manager, projectors, Epson America. “From the light source, to the signal processor, to the 3LCD module, to the lens—Epson projectors deliver high-quality images at a range of price points to bring big-screen performance to a range of consumers.”

Epson HC 4000 4K HDR Projector Complements Today's Media

Engineered for use in a variety of home environments, including multimedia rooms and dedicated home theaters, the HC 4000 4K HDR projector works with just about any video source, including cable/satellite set-top boxes (STBs), gaming consoles, streaming devices such as Apple TVs and Roku devices, Blu-ray disc players and Ultra Blu-ray disc players, which are capable of producing the best images available in a consumer setting. 

Epson points out the HC 4000 projector incorporates a pair of HDMI ports, and upscaling technologies that enhance 1080p content. 

The projector also incorporates dealer-friendly options such as motorized lens shift with presets for as many as 10 positions, along with zoom, lens shift and RS-232. 

Other features built into the HC 4000 4K HDR projector include L*a*b ultra wide color gamut that is 100 percent compatible with the DCI-P3 digital cinema color space standard, and Delta Level Color accuracy that produces realistic color graphics. 

Epson supports the projector with its toll-free PrivateLine priority technical support and a two-year warranty (90 days on lamps), and free next-day exchange with ExtraCare Home Service. 

MSRP for the projector is $2,200.
