DISH Promotes Deep Integration with Control4 on New YouTube Channel

Published: August 1, 2019

DISH Network began its integration efforts with Control4 back in 2014 when it announced it would release its Hopper API to allow programmers to send commands to the Hopper 3 system over IP.  Since those origins, DISH has collaborated with Control4 to leverage the SDDP architecture and simplify the integration process from Composer.

It starts with ensuring that both the Hopper 3 and the Control4 platform both reside on the same network.  From there, the technician navigates to Settings on the Hopper 3 selects the Control 4 icon. Click Enable to alert the Control4 controller and the Hopper is now visible to the network.

DISH’s Custom Integration program is offering a series of instructional videos to educate technicians and CI dealers on how to integrate with Control 4, covering such platforms as Hopper 3, Joey, Netflix, Favorite Channels and YouTube.  Click on the video attached to the image above to launch the Hopper 3 Integration with Control4 to see an example of one of these videos.

Be sure to Subscribe to the DISH CI YouTube Channel to be alerted when more instructional videos become available.
