When CE Pro introduced the 40 Women to Watch in 2024, our goal was to spotlight the remarkable women shaping the future of custom integration—and the response exceeded all expectations. From entrepreneurs to engineers, marketers to executives, the inaugural group demonstrated the depth and breadth of female talent redefining the home electronics industry.
Among those honored were standout leaders like Ashley Jacobson of System 7, who helped pivot her company toward a lighting-first model that led to an eight-figure valuation and a strategic acquisition. Industry veterans such as Carol Campbell and Elizabeth Parks reminded us that influence is measured not only in years of service, but in the ability to elevate others—through advocacy, mentorship, and groundbreaking research that drives the entire channel forward.

Trailblazers like Jamie Briesemeister and Jennifer Mallett showed what it means to lead both locally and nationally, whether launching the industry’s first franchise model or serving on the global CEDIA Board. And dynamic communicators like Katye Bennett, Kimberly Lancaster, and Melissa Andresko demonstrated how storytelling, branding, and strategic vision are vital forces behind market momentum and consumer awareness.
As we open nominations for the 2025 Female 40, we’re once again seeking women who are making an impact—whether in the boardroom, on the jobsite, at industry events, or quietly innovating behind the scenes. From home automation and audio/video to lighting, control, security, and networking, the future of the smart home is being shaped by more women than ever before.
If you know someone breaking new ground, championing inclusion, or redefining excellence in this field, now is the time to recognize them. Nominate a colleague, partner, or mentor who deserves to be celebrated. Let’s continue building a more diverse, innovative, and inspiring industry—together. Email either Nick Boever ([email protected]), Zachary Comeau ([email protected]) or Bob Archer ([email protected]) with your nominees!
