Bluesound, the Canadian hi-res audio brand known for its BluOS multi-room ecosystem, has unveiled a completely redesigned version of its compact all-in-one speaker, the PULSE FLEX. The new model marks the first major refresh in nearly a decade for one of Bluesound’s best-selling products, combining a minimalist aesthetic with the brand’s signature focus on high-performance sound.
According to Bluesound, the latest PULSE FLEX was engineered to blend seamlessly into real living environments such as kitchens, bedrooms, and home offices without compromising audio quality. “With the new PULSE FLEX, we set out to make Bluesound’s acclaimed sound signature more accessible without compromising on detail and quality,” said Matt Simmonds, Product Manager at Bluesound. “We created a beautiful all-in-one speaker that can fit into spaces where people really live, like kitchens, bedrooms, and offices, while still delivering the kind of clarity and depth our customers expect.”
The new Bluesound PULSE FLEX will be available starting December 16, 2025, at a suggested retail price of $349 USD. Customers can purchase through authorized Bluesound dealers, bluesound.com, and Amazon.
Compact Design Meets Everyday Flexibility
The refreshed PULSE FLEX features a smaller footprint and softened, rounded edges, with modern finishes designed to complement contemporary interiors. Customers can choose between Black Charcoal, White Pebble Grey, and White Tan, with optional fabric grilles and accessories such as the WM100 Wall Mount and FS230 Adjustable Stand for added versatility.
Bluesound says the speaker has been reimagined not only for design but also for practicality. Users can position it virtually anywhere in the home and integrate it easily into existing systems. It can function as a standalone speaker, be paired in stereo, or serve as rear surround channels when combined with Bluesound’s POWERNODE, PULSE CINEMA, or CINEMA MINI products.
High-Resolution Audio in a Small Form Factor
Inside, the new PULSE FLEX carries Bluesound’s hallmark emphasis on hi-fi sound. A custom SmartDSP amplifier drives a 4-inch woofer and 0.75-inch tweeter, producing 50 watts of total system power. The speaker supports playback in 24-bit/192kHz resolution, along with MQA decoding and DSD256 compatibility for audiophiles seeking lossless performance.
“The new PULSE FLEX takes everything people have loved about our most popular speaker over the last 10 years; rich sound, intuitive control, and sleek design, and made it even more accessible,” said Morten Nielsen of Bluesound. “It’s Living HiFi without the high barrier, built for everyday music lovers who want to experience premium audio wherever they are in the home, with seamless control from their phone or tablet.”
Smart Connectivity and Multi-Room Integration
Like other products in Bluesound’s lineup, the PULSE FLEX is powered by BluOS, the company’s proprietary multi-room streaming platform. Through the BluOS Controller app, listeners can stream from more than 20 music services and access platforms including Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Roon, and Apple AirPlay 2.
For connectivity, the speaker includes dual-band Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet, aptX HD Bluetooth, USB-C, and an optical/analog combo jack. Smart home integration is also supported, with drivers for systems including Crestron, Control4, Nice, and RTI.
