If you've been following the CE Pro saga, you know that champion Indy racecar driver Alex Tagliani has been involved in every step of his smart home design and build, even attending CEDIA to get ideas, check out equipment and help make selections for the project.
Tagliani's home is finally finished and before he moves in with his supermodel wife Bronte Tagliani and their daughter, he is taking CE Pro on a tour of his favorite rooms in the home.
The home-theater-meets-family-room is the first spot on the tour, where an Epson LS10000 laser projector “fires up quick, just like my race engine,” says Tagiani. It also stays silent as it works seamlessly with Tagliani's new Screen Innovations projection screen. Racing memorabilia sits on shelves around the room.
On the wall, iRoom and Control4 control allow an iPad to pop in and out of the wall so Tagliani's family can use the iPad on the couch and then put it back in the wall where it transforms into a touchpanel (and charges). Everything that's programmed in the house on Control4 is accessible through the touchpanel, including audio, video lighting and shading.
Tagliani even shows off the end of over 10,000 feet of wiring that sits in a guest room and talks about how important it was to have all the wiring prep work done ahead of time.
