Alex Tagliani Smart Home: Getting Schooled on Wiring
IndyCar driver Alex Tagliani learns why even in today's wireless world, his smart home must have a giant mass of physical networking cable.

They say "money makes the world go around" but in a smart home it is "wiring that makes the world go around."
World-class Indycar driver Alex Tagliani is finding that out. He is amazed at the amount of AudioQuest network cabling that is going into his new custom home outside Montreal. Frederic Pinsonneault, regional sales manager, Eastern Canada, for AudioQuest, takes the time to explain the differences between Cat 5, Cat 6 and Cat 7 wiring for the home, and why even in today's wireless communications society, a home must have physical cable.
You can also watch in the video as technicians from Homesync in Canada pull the various types of cables through the open stud bay walls and between ceiling joists.
Tagliani is building his dream smart home for himself and his family, including his supermodel wife Bronte. He is working with two integrators — Homesync in Montreal and Eagle Sentry in Las Vegas — on his new 4,500-square-foot smart home being built in suburban Montreal.
